Dear mates, please be aware, that all information below is subject to change in accordance with the local governments guidance in our Destinations. Our bookers will be informed about all significant changes by their Voyage Management Team directly.

What are Sailomate COVID-19 requirements for joining the voyage? 

  • COVID requirements of Sailomate match whatever the government entry requirements are in the Destination countries.
  • All attendees may be requested to present the proof of vaccination or a negative test mirroring the entry requirements at the Destination country.

 What are the COVID-19 requirements at my Destination?

What happens if I (or one of my mates) are not able to attend Sailomate voyage due to COVID-19?

  • We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance which provides coverage for the cost of your trip in the event COVID-19. Travel insurance covering COVID-19 available in most of our mates countries and are reasonably priced.
  • Please note that in case you or someone in your crew contracts COVID-19 before joining the yacht and/or are unable to participate in Sailomate voyage, you will not be entitled to a refund from Sailomate or associated legal entities. 
  • Contact your Voyage Management team if you need recommendations for what is required in your policy.

What if I test positive during my Sailomate voyage?

  • In case the symptoms appear during the voyage, and you test positive, you will be required to isolate yourself from the rest of the mates and leave the vessel at the first possibility. This will mean the end of your Sailomate trip. 
  • You will then need to follow the procedures that are in force at the Destination country. 

Do I need to pass COVID-19 test at Sailomate check-in?

  • No, presently we are not performing any tests at check-in. 
  • Though you may be asked to prove your vaccination status and/or a negative COVID-19 test if this is required by local Destinations rules.
  • We reserve the right to implement further additional COVID-19 measures at check-in if the rules in the Destination country change.

Do I need to be vaccinated to attend Sailomate voyage?

  • At Sailomate we do not require our mates to be vaccinated to join the voyage, though we strongly recommend all guests to be fully vaccinated with current booster vaccinations. 
  • In addition please note that if you are joining somebody’s crew, some of our Voyage leaders may ask everyone on their boat to be vaccinated as a part of their internal team rules. 
  • If you decide to join a Sailomate voyage without being able to produce the proof of vaccination, you should be aware of the possibility that Destination government requirements may change and you may be denied entry into bars, restaurants or other activities in accordance with local laws. 
  • Unvaccinated mates are permitted to attend Sailomate voyages if they comply with the rules applicable in the Destination country. 
  • Unvaccinated guests may require a negative COVID-19 test to enter certain venues in accordance with local laws. 
  • Fraudulent tests or vaccination certificates will not be accepted. Guests who submit these will be prevented from attending the events and not offered a refund.

What happens if Sailomate voyage is canceledl due to COVID-19 restrictions?

  • If we are unable to run our Sailomate voyage, our Voyage Management Team will inform you as soon as possible. At this point you may be presented with the option to either rebook your trip for an alternative date or Destination (subject to availability), to get credit to use towards another trip in the future, or receive a full refund.
  • Changes to the planned itinerary may be necessary in order to comply with any local restrictions. All changes will be communicated to you in advance by your Voyage Management Team”
